Wellbeing by the Lakes is a three-day festival exploring what it means to be mindful and live well in this fast-paced modern world. A curated blend of expert talks, live performance, meditation, movement sessions, wholesome food and healing therapies.
At the heart of the festival will be the unique opportunity to witness the Tashi Lhunpo monks creating an intricate sand mandala which will be washed away on the final day in the River Frome representing the impermanence of all things and the quality of non-attachment.
Sculpture by the Lakes is nestled in 26 acres of Dorset's glorious countryside near Dorchester, interspersed with monumental sculptures by renowned sculptor Simon Gudgeon, reflective lakes, the fast flowing River Frome, a silver birch wood, landscaped gardens and meandering paths through wild, unspoilt scenery.
I’ll be talking about my new book Dark Skies, and how being awake at night can help us escape the chaos of the modern world and form a deeper connection with nature.
